Learn more about how I use and don’t use AI in my business

Last updated: 29/05/2026

It’s no secret that AI is everywhere these days, and it’s become a huge part of how businesses work and function…

For copywriting, you can literally have something written for you in 2 seconds flat if you wanted (I mean, it might not be very good, but sure, you could do it).

But I will never use AI to write your copy and deliver it to you as your final product. As a client, when you invest in my copywriting services, you will always get high-quality copy written by a human who can actually think for herself (that’s me, hi).

But if you’re curious,

HERE ARE THINGS I USE AI FOR IN MY BUSINESS:

1. Brainstorming

AI can be very useful for brainstorming ideas related to themes, concepts, quotes, idioms, and rough ideas. This gives me inspiration in the research and development phases of your project to develop my ideas. Sometimes, you may receive AI-generated copy in your brand voice moodboard or SWOT analysis document, but I will clearly disclose this. I may also use AI to help with outlines or structure, to help me refine your copy, but you won’t ever get copy-paste robotic copy (and, honestly, you would be able to tell!)

2. Mock-ups

Sometimes, your project may require visual mock-ups, so I use programs like Canva, and I may use built-in AI functions to enhance photos or videos.

3. My own marketing

I may use AI to assist me with inspiration and development in writing and producing social media posts, email marketing, or website content to promote my business.

4. Project management tools

I use project management tools in my business to help me stay organised and deliver projects efficiently. This includes things like freelancer project management software, productivity + collaboration tools and SEO keyword research tools that may include AI assistance or AI technology.

5. Writing assistant tools

I use AI-powered writing assistant tools like Grammarly and Hemingway Editor. These are super helpful tools for ensuring that the spelling, grammar, punctuation, and structure of my final deliverables to you are refined and accurate.

THINGS I DO NOT USE AI FOR IN MY BUSINESS:

1. Writing your copy

You will never get copy written by AI (otherwise, what is the point of you hiring me?)

I write all client copy myself, so you can be sure you'll get high-quality deliverables I have put my blood, sweat, and tears into (that’s an extra bonus).

I write everything myself in Google Docs with assistance from an experienced SEO content strategist, who is also a kickass human.

2. Communication

Anytime you receive an email, message or DM from me, it will be written by me, not a bot. It actually baffles me that people outsource communication to AI. It’s not really that hard to write a message, and plus, I enjoy it.

I’D PREFER IF YOU DID NOT USE AI WHEN WORKING WITH ME FOR:

1. Revisions/providing feedback

I have a solid, efficient revision process that works well for my clients and me. I ask that you please do not use AI to submit revisions/feedback (even if you have a custom-built, brand-specific bot), as AI does not know the full story of the backend work we have done together. I’d prefer it if you could please provide your own thoughts and ideas so I can deliver an end result that aligns with your vision and goals.

2. Communication

Since I do not use AI to communicate with you, I ask that you please do the same. I would rather have the peace of mind that comes from knowing we are on the same page with our project and that I am communicating with a human, not a bot. This also helps keep things running smoothly, so we are both kept in the loop on timelines, changes, and project stages.

So there you have it, no robot will be taking over my job anytime soon. Unless it’s one that can endlessly spit out dollar bills and do my laundry.
